Criteria and Procedure

At Birla School, Pilani, the admission process is designed to be transparent, efficient, and convenient for parents and students. The school ensures that the admission criteria are clearly defined, and the procedure is seamless for all stakeholders. Below are the steps involved in the admission process:

  • For queries related to academics, parents may contact the Head Master, Sr Academic coordinator or Administrative Officer.
  • All the admission seekers for the day wings are requested to contact school office either to Mr A O or to Mr Narendra Singh for registration process, during office hours.
    Office Hours: 9:00 AM to 1: 30 PM and 03:00 PM to 5:00 PM
  • First of all, an Enquiry in ERP is generated before registration.
  • Registration fee ₹1000 (cash also) is to be deposited to obtain prospectus and form.
  • Once the registration process is completed admission aspirants are to be sent to exam cell along with an attendant to appear in 2 hours admission test.
  • If the registration is done before 11 AM, admission Test may be held on the same day other date will be fixed for the admission.
  • Parents or guardians, during Test hours, may go out for any other task if they wish, or they may wait in the library for 2 hours.
  • Admission test for XI Class is done for the following subjects (MM 100)
    a) English (30 Marks)
    b) Mathematics (30 Marks)
    c) Science (Physics Chemistry and Biology) (40 Marks)
  • For the admission to class 6 to 9, Test in done for following subjects: (MM 100)
    a) English (30 Marks)
    b) Hindi (30 Marks)
    c) Mathematics (30 Marks)
    d) General Knowledge (10 Marks)
  • Admission Test is also taken for the classes 4th and 5th in DWJ only in the following subjects: (MM:70 marks)
    a) English (20 Marks)
    b) Hindi (20 Marks)
    c) Mathematics (20 Marks)
    d) General Knowledge (10 Marks)
  • Before confirming the admission for the classes upto 3, a team of teachers interact with the student and parents in DWJ only.
  • For humanities and commerce streams, Only English is tested through 40 minutes test.
  • After the test, students along with their parents or guardians are sent to Head Master for general interactions.
  • After the evaluation, recommendation of Admission Incharge is sent to head Master / Principal
  • Final confirmation of admission will be done by the Head Master / Principal.
  • School office will inform the parents or guardians on the very next working day regarding the Confirmation, Re-Test or Admission denial.
  • Once the duly filled admission form along with fee is submitted by the parents, it is then sent to school main office for further proceedings in ERP.

Important Points to Note:

  • Registration for admissions is open throughout the year.
  • Registration and appearance in the admission test do not automatically guarantee admission.
  • The date of birth recorded in the previous school's School Leaving Certificate, countersigned by the District Education Officer, will be considered final. No requests for changes in the date of birth will be entertained.
  • Admissions are available for classes Nursery to IX and XI.
  • Registration fee is non-refundable.
